Nichole Mossalam - School Committee Candidate

Nichole Mossalam

School Committee
Ward 7

As a parent and community advocate, I know firsthand the power of education to break cycles of poverty. When I enrolled my first child in Malden schools, I was shocked to learn there were no enrollment fees, something my family could never afford in Utah. This experience drives me to ensure all students have equal access to quality education. We’ve grown our family with two more children, and we recently adopted a 17-year-old who needed a loving home. All four of my children attend Malden Public Schools, and it is for their future; and every student’s; that I’ve worked hard for our community.

Malden has been my home for over a decade, and I’ve seen its vibrant diversity firsthand—from community celebrations to the diverse backgrounds of our students. With 74.8% of our students being high-needs, we need proactive leadership that advocates for equity, inclusivity, and educational excellence.

As your School Committee rep, I’ll focus on:

Equitable, Inclusive Curriculum: Reflecting Malden’s diversity in our schools.
Student-Centered Budgeting: Full transparency in how funds benefit students.
Accountable Leadership: Creating open communication between parents, educators, and students.
Together, we can build a stronger Malden where every child has the tools to succeed. Let’s prioritize our neighbors first, above politics, disputes, and differences.
